WE ARE GETTING MARRIED

THATS AMORE.

(In Napoli where love is king
When boy meets girl here's what they say)

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore
Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella

When the stars make you drool just like a pasta e fasul
That's amore
When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet
You're in love
When you walk in a dream but you know you're not dreaming signore
Scusami, but you see, back in old Napoli

That's amore. ❤️

Sorrento (40 minute drive)

Make Memories just like we did:

For those staying a few days:

Hire a boat and departure from Sorrento.
You can book at the main dock or from most shops around Sorrento. We highly recommend, it's a little james bond experience!

Most tours offer Island hop trips: Capri, Amalfi, Positano or just direct rides to one location. All stops are absolutely stunning.

Positano stole our hearts and marks phone!

Equally you can reach Positano by bus from Sorrento or Amalfi (there are two stops: "La Sponda" and "Chiesa Nuova"). There are also ferries in the summer from Sorrento and Capri

https://www.positano.com

The Path of God Hike is a must!. The views from the top!  Check out more information below:

https://www.positano.com/en/e/il-sentiero-degli-dei

Top restaurants we would recommend in Positano:

https://www.caffepositano.it/en/  Lots of steps to get there but the view doesn't disappoint. The aperol spritz are the best around- be sure to try one! Just good luck getting back down after a few!

Evening:

https://www.terrazzacele.it/?lang=en -  Super romantic. You have to visit. Book in advance. This was our favourite spot for sure!

Fiordo di furore

Translated to the Fjord of fury, this is a unique and interesting place to visit.  It is located 6km west of Amalfi town and a popular tourist and local attraction. This place is stunning and the perfect place for sunbathing and cliff jumping - if you're feeling brave enough!

Public Transport

The easiest way to get to the fjord is by bus or taxi. A taxi can pull up right on the bridge so you then only have a short walk down some steps to reach the fjord.

You can catch the SITA bus from Amalfi town or Positano (Chiesa Nuova). You can also access the fjord by bus from other Amalfi coast towns but with a change.

The bus will only cost 2-3€. It takes around 20 minutes from Amalfi town and around 40 minutes from Positano.

Rent a scooter

What an amazing way to cruise along the Amalfi Coast.

Plus, this gives you the freedom and flexibility to visit any town and attraction you wish in your own time.  You can rent a scooter from between 50-60 euros in most towns along the coast.

Cable car to Mt Faito.

Departing from the Castellammare di Stabia train station the funivia (cable car) gives you a panoramic ride to the top to Mt Faito. You can spend the day in the cool mountain air, walking the paths and enjoying the spectacular views from the high peaks.

The funivia cable car runs from 10:00 AM til 5:00 PM daily from April through June and September through November; in July and August it is open from 8:30 AM until 8:00 PM. The ride takes 8 minutes.

Selection of local cabins at the top  to enjoy a glass of local vino and take in the views. Saluti!

Alternatively, if you are travelling to Capri for the day, there is also a chair lift service to the top.

    Capri

Our second favourite place. The gelato was the best around!

    Make sure you try:

    Capri: The Mount Solaro Chairlift

Monte Solaro is the highest point on the Island of Capri (589 meters above sea level) and the peak can be reached easily using the chairlift in Anacapri. The trip uphill takes 12 minutes, and has beautiful views over the historic center of the town of Anacapri from a unique vantage point, passing directly above the rooftops, surrounding fields, and woods, almost touching the treetops with your feet.

You can reach the chairlift by climbing the stairs from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri.

    Mount Solaro Chairlift Hours

    • From May to October: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
    • From November to February: 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
    • From March to April: 9:30am - 4:00pm
    • Price: EUR 9 one way, EUR 12 round trip

    Visit Pompeii.

Pompeii is a vast archaeological site in southern Italy's Campania region, near the coast of the Bay of Naples. Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The preserved site features excavated ruins of streets and houses that visitors can freely explore.

    • Walk out of Pompeii Scavi - Villa Dei Misteri station, the main entrance to the ruins is across the road a 100m to your right. It's that easy!

    • The ruins are open every day of the year, usually 09:00-19:30 April-October, but check opening times and entrance fee at www.pompeiisites.org or www.pompeionline.net.

    • Allow more time than you think you need. you can easily spend all day there, there's lots to see.

Herculaneum is also a great place to visit.

    Hop on the train:

The Circumvesuviana train is a great connection. Running all the way from Naples through  Pompei, Castellammare, Vico Equense and ending up to sorrento main station.
Naples to sorrento takes 50 Minutes whole journey.
Tickets cost 3.60 Euros regardless which stop you get on or off. You can pay these at the machines or in station shops/cafes.

Trains run every 30 minutes. We used this a lot when travelling around.  La medusa offer a free shuttle service to castellammare station. Then its up to you which way you want to travel.

Check out train times for 2022.
